THANK YOU!

Thank you so much to parents and students for looking at the blog and posting!  It has been fun checking who is posting and about what!  I really appreciate the effort, keep it up!  Hopefully the blog is helping parents know more about what is going on in the classroom and students are able to fill in the blanks when the blog doesn't tell it all.

Our fish has a name!!

Thunder Bolt!

We have a new class pet!

At lunch time, Sofia and Jessica went with Mrs. Kosolowski to a pet shop and we think they bought a male Betta fish.  - Katie
After they came back we put the fish under the student work wall and we are going to come up with a name.  - Cecilia
When Jessica and I were at the pet store there were so many fish and one looked like it had the skin of a peacock.  Then we looked at the fish we bought and we bought it because it was so active and the other fish were lazy.  The other active fish were redish and we wanted a more colourful fish. At the pet store, the fish was kept in a tiny little plastic container. - Sofia
We got him a little snail named Garry for in the bowl, for entertainment and to play with. Garry is from Spongebob. - Khang, Maddox, Katie
We also got him stuff that looks like grass and rocks. - Cecilia
Sofia and Jessica brought him in a plastic bag. - Heidi
He is black and dark blue and a little bit of red and purple. - Derek
If we get another fish, the tank can split in half so the other fish can go on the other side. We bought more seaweed to go on the other side if we buy another one. - Sofia
We also have fish food and medicine for the water. - Jessica

During the summer .....

This summer was amazing!  The weather was gorgeous and perfect for relaxing and making many trips to the cabin!  I spent July and August at my cabin in Moosehorn, to help with sand bagging and removing all the contents from our cabin to try and save as much as we could due to the flooding of Lake Manitoba.  Between  trying to save the cabin, we still found time to quad with family and friends.  Moosehorn is full of beautiful scenery and many mud holes.  For me the summer is about spending as much of it outside as possible.  School may have started, but I will continue to make weekend trips to Moosehorn.  I hope everyone else had a wonderful summer and is ready to get back into the swing of school and learning!!
